        <h2>Doctoral Study of Natural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow</h2>
        <p>Doctoral studies are conducted jointly by the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals Polish Academy of Sciences and the W. Szafer Institute of Botany PAS.</p>
        <p>The F. Górski Institute of Plant Physiology PAS and the Institute of Nature Conservation PAS also participate in the education of doctoral students.</p>
        <p>Doctoral studies make it possible to obtain a doctoral degree in biological sciences in the field of biology.</p>
        <p>The doctoral study will be closed at the end of 2023 due to changes in the law on science and higher education implemented in 2018.</p>
        <p>The main research fields that were possible to implement within the Study at ISEA PAS cover the topics:</p>
        <p>
          <ul>
            <li>evolution, systematics, biodiversity and ecology of selected species of contemporary living vertebrates, invertebrates and microorganisms,</li>
            <li>the fossil fauna of vertebrates and invertebrates and the taphonomy of sites.</li>
          </ul>
